Description: The Old Sha Tin Racecourse, in need of ground improvement and a new clubhouse, was remodelled to take it into the 21st Century. The structure needed stable footings to support it firmly on the reclaimed land. This was achieved by more than 200 piles set in the sedimentary fill to carry the structure. The great weight savings of GranoGranit over solid granite panels was a major advantage in this construction.
